Patrick Mahomes' Christmas gift to his offensive linemen puts pressure on others

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes gifted each of his offensive linemen a custom golf cart for Christmas and now other QBs around the NFL surely feel pressure to do the same, but not every player can spend that much money.

Mahomes, 28, reportedly spent nearly $20,000 per golf cart. He may have stolen the idea from Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence, who also bought a fleet of carts for his offensive linemen a couple days prior. Quarterbacks gifting the O-line extravagant things is nothing new, but the presents keep getting bigger and more expensive each year.

Those who don’t get paid as much, such as Brock Purdy and Gardner Minshew, are probably pressured to spend a lot of money on gifts. Chiefs’ O-line go on joy ride
Mahomes and the offensive linemen went on a joyride at the Arrowhead Stadium parking lot. Each golf cart was custom made with the name of the respective offensive lineman. Chiefs (9-5) host the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday and Mahomes will need all the protection possible from his men up front.
