It’s a very big day for Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, and anyone following their relationship from behind their cell phone screens! The superstar couple, who’ve positively swept the media cycle since debuting their then-unofficial relationship at the end of September, have finally found the perfect opportunity to introduce their families.
On Monday, Dec. 25, Swift cheered on Kelce at the Chiefs-Las Vegas Raiders game in Kansas City, Mo. The pop star brought her father, Scott, mother, Andrea, and brother, Austin, who dressed as Santa Claus, for the Christmas Day matchup. All four members of the Swift family were spotted arriving at Arrowhead Stadium and watching the game from a private suite. In that same suite, Travis’ dad, Ed, cheered on the Chiefs tight end.
One X user who shared a screen shot of Ed sitting next to Taylor declared, “papa kelce and papa swift in the same suite this is incredible.” Meanwhile, another X user pleaded, “I need a shot of Ed Kelce talking to Scott Swift so badly. I NEED IT!!!!” Travis’ mom, Donna, did not appear to be in attendance—but that’s likely because Travis’ older brother, Jason, had a Christmas Day game in Philadelphia that started just a few hours later.
Although photos and video clips of Ed interacting with Scott and Andrea were not immediately available, hopefully, some will surface soon. Swift had the opportunity to meet Donna at the very first game she attended back in September. She is believed to have met his father in mid-October.
It took a bit longer for Travis to meet Scott. The two finally met on Nov. 10 when Kelce flew all the way to South America to see Swift perform, but it’s not confirmed if her mother Andrea was also present. Now, the most popular couple in the world* (*not a statistically proven fact) can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the worst part of every early relationship is over.
