It looks like Meghan Markle might not be joining Prince Harry when he reunites with the Royal Family as one expert has suggested she is “done” with the UK.
The Duke of Sussex has been open about his desire to return to the UK and reunite with his estranged family after both King Charles and the Princess of Wales were diagnosed with cancer. And it looks like the royal reunion could happen as early as next month. Harry is set to return to the UK at the beginning of May to attend a celebration of the Invictus Games. However, royal historian Marlene Koenig doesn’t believe Meghan will be joining her husband.
“I don’t think Meghan will be visiting the UK anytime soon. I think she’s done with that. Unless there’s something major like a funeral. But Harry and Meghan’s life is in the US,” Marlene told GB News. Meghan has rarely been back in the UK since leaving the Royal Family in 2020. Her last visit was in 2022 to attend Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral, however, she she did not return for King Charles III’s coronation last year, and Harry was forced to attend alone.
Harry is set to return to the UK for a special service at St. Paul’s Cathedral on May 8. His wife’s attendance at the event is still “to be confirmed”. Marlene’s comments come after Harry opened up about his relationship with the Royal Family and admitted he has plans to travel back to the UK. In an interview with GB News, the Duke of Sussex said he was grateful to have been able to visit his father when the monarch was diagnosed with cancer.
