“My goal off the field is to be the best role model I can be,” Mahomes stated. “I want to be the guy that every kid can come up to and talk to and get advice from, because those are the guys I remember.” Yet, a fan didn’t hesitate to remind Mahomes of some recent issues he had with members of his family.

“He needs to help his pops and brother out,” an X user wrote Eight days before Super Bowl LVIII, Patrick Mahomes Sr. was arrested in Texas on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. This arrest is part of a history of multiple DWI arrests and over ten court incidents.

Additionally, in 2023, Mahomes’ brother, Jackson, faced serious legal issues when he was arrested on charges of aggravated sexual battery.

Wants to be a role model
Mahomes’ dedication to being a role model extends beyond his impressive achievements on the football field. He aims to create a lasting impact on young fans, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and make positive choices. The star quarterback understands the significance of his platform and uses it to promote positive values. Through his foundation, 15 and the Mahomies, Mahomes supports initiatives that focus on health, wellness, and educational opportunities for children.

The foundation’s mission aligns with his personal goal of making a difference in the lives of young people. His actions reflect the values he hopes to instill in kids-hard work, perseverance, and kindness. “I want to always be remembered as a great quarterback, but remembered more as a better person,” he said last year.

“That’s my goal – I want people to see the love that I have for the game of football, the love I have for my family, and the love I have for being a role model. And I think if they see that, and they remember me as that, then I’ve done what I need to do.”
