It seems that Travis Kelce’s onstage moment at the Eras Tour was kept top secret — even from Taylor Swift’s parents!
At the third night in London of the superstar’s record-breaking tour, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end surprised the nearly 90,000 fans in attendance when he joined Swift’s background dancers at the beginning of “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart” —
similarly dressed in a suave tuxedo and top hat. During his appearance, Kelce, 34, carried his girlfriend Swift, also 34, across the stage, gave her faux touch-ups as she switched her outfit, and even treated Wembley Stadium crowd to a few of his signature dance moves.
After Kelce left the stage, eagle-eyed fans captured video of the football star returning to the VIP tent, where he had sung and danced throughout the earlier parts of the show.
As he re-entered the star-studded VIP section, he was showered with cheers and applause — including from Swift’s mom Andrea, 66, who was one of the first to greet him, which she did with a smile from ear to ear. Seen in a video posted to TikTok, Kelce made his rounds through the tent as someone could be heard shouting, “You nailed it, Travis.”
But it seems that Swift’s dad Scott, 72, may have been just as shocked as the rest of the Wembley crowd when Kelce briefly joined the ranks of his girlfriend’s background dancers. Seen in a video posted to X (formerly Twitter), Papa Swift appears to mouth “Oh my God” and “I didn’t even know” as he shakes his head in the moments following Kelce’s onstage appearance.
During the “Cruel Summer” singer’s three-night Eras Tour stint in London, scores of stars made a point to see the concert sensation — including Jason Kelce and his wife, Kylie Kelce, Barbie director Greta Gerwig, Liam Hemsworth, Hugh Grant and Tom Cruise, not to mention several royals, who posed in a cute selfie with Kelce and Swift backstage.
But even with dozens of buzzy names in attendance, Kelce flanked Swift’s parents as he first walked out before the beginning of the show, captured in a video posted to X. The Super Bowl winner could be seen walking just behind Andrea and Scott, smiling and pointing to fans, and even giving Scott a friendly pat on the back as they made their way to the VIP tent.
The power couple’s night didn’t end after they left the stage: Swift and Kelce hit the town, heading to London’s Chiltern Firehouse, where they partied until 4 a.m. On their late-night date, the pair donned similar outfits — each in head-to-toe crochet — which Swift styled with a yellow open-toe chunky heeled sandal and Kelce complemented with a blue bucket hat.
The “Fortnight” singer is next set to bring the Eras Tour to Dublin, where she’ll play three nights at Aviva Stadium. Later this summer, Swift will return to the English capital city, where she’ll play five more nights at Wembley to close out the European leg of the tour.
