Despite reports earlier this week that Travis Kelce was throwing girlfriend Taylor Swift a birthday “rager,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was noticeably absent from her party Wednesday night, US Weekly reports.
The Eras Tour performer stepped out in a Midnights-inspired little black dress to celebrate her 34th birthday with fellow A-list besties, including Blake Lively, Miles Teller and wife Keleigh Sperry, Gigi Hadid, Antoni Porowski, Zoë Kravitz, and more.
Swift hit up Lower East Side hotspot Freemans for dinner before taking the party to arguably NYC’s most infamous nightclub, The Box. The buzzy Soho haunt has a NSFW reputation and an entire Reddit thread dedicated to the ~reported~ raunchy (and sometimes disturbing) happenings. “Basically The Box is a nightclub in NYC where they have performances every hour on the hour. The shows get (shall we say) “edgier” as the night goes on,” one user commented online. “It’s like a sex show at all times unless it’s rented out,” another person added.
Swift kicked her birthday celebration early on Tuesday with an equally star-studded guest list for dinner at Zero Bond. The songstress was spotted by paparazzi heading into the exclusive members-only club with Selena Gomez and the Tellers. According to Page Six, sources confirmed that Kelce was unable to attend either the dinner or bash due to a mandatory football practice in Kansas City. However, another party *could* be in the works considering the fact that Swift’s boyfriend is heading to the East Coast this weekend for a Sunday matchup against the Patriots.
Earlier this week, reports surfaced that Kelce was planning to throw the “best possible birthday” for his girl with all “her close friends” in attendance. The source added that “money is not an object” for the reported festivities. And while their romance has clearly become public in recent months, according to Swift herself, they had a “significant amount of time” together before their relationship made headlines.
“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” she told Time Magazine, before elaborating that she and Kelce “started hanging out right after that.” “We actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other,” she said. “I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”
