Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is reportedly considering a reconciliation with the royal family, as it might help repair “the strains on her marriage with Prince Harry.” However, King Charles III has allegedly given one condition for reconciliation: Harry and Meghan should stop talking negatively about the royal family.
The potential reconciliation was recently sidelined by the release of Omid Scobie’s memoir “Endgame.” A version of the book named Kate Middleton and Charles as the two senior Royal who had concerns about Prince Archie’s skin color. Despite the controversy, there’s reportedly “always a way back” for Harry and Meghan into the family. Meghan is working towards a “part-time” reunion with the Royal Family. Sources told The Mirror that the former actress wants the reconciliation due to the “financial woes” she and Prince Harry are currently facing. Meghan allegedly wants to split the year between living in California and an apartment at Kensington Palace.
According to one source, Meghan thinks the reconciliation would “potentially aid in repairing the strains on her marriage with Prince Harry.” She also wants an opportunity to mend the couple’s “relationship with King Charles.” The source said the King has also “expressed a desire for the family to be reunited.”
Before King Charles welcomes Harry and Meghan back into the Royal family fold, the monarch allegedly has one condition the couple must agree to. They must never speak about the royal family in a negative light again, as they’ve seemingly done since their infamous exit in 2020. The insider said, “Meghan and Harry have to agree not to speak ill of the royals again. That’s a must. It would be an utter embarrassment if they were to be kicked out of the family for a second time.”
At present, it’s difficult to see how Meghan could be welcomed with open arms back into the United Kingdom. Prince Harry seems to be making more ground than her in terms of his relationship with the family, especially his father. The Duke recently had a “warm” phone call with Charles for his birthday, and Meghan also reportedly wished her father-in-law a happy birthday.
With the steps Harry and Meghan took toward the family, it really seemed like a reconciliation could happen, until the release of Omid Scobie’s memoir “Endgame.” The book made multiple accusations against the Royal family, exposing more of their alleged negative treatment of Harry and Meghan.
Despite the controversy surrounding the book and its allegations, insiders say there’s “always a way back” for Meghan. Royal expert Duncan Larcombe spoke to New Magazine, about how the book was received by the Royal family and its impact on a reconciliation between the couple and the others. He said, “I think the Sussexes are aware the Prince and Princess of Wales are still furious, and Kate’s name coming out in that book will have reignited William’s anger. There’s always a way back. Look at Camilla – she was the most hated person in Britain and now she’s the Queen. If that’s possible, anything’s possible. But as things stand at the moment, I’d say it’s pretty unthinkable.”
