The Kansas City Chiefs advanced to an incredible sixth consecutive AFC championship game after pulling out a 27–24 road victory over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night.
And while a wild fourth quarter featuring a few mishaps for both teams has been the postgame focal point, it was Philadelphia Eagles center and brother of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, Jason, who made the early game headlines. Jason Kelce was in attendance and quickly proved to be his brother’s biggest cheerleader on Sunday.
After Travis’s first of two touchdowns against the Bills, Jason immediately went viral while screaming and celebrating shirtless. When asked about the incredible celebration by his brother, the Chiefs tight end laughed while admitting he didn’t know about it, and his response was about as perfect as you’d expect.
“My brother was shirtless? Nah, it doesn’t surprise me one bit,” Kelce told Aditi Kinkhabwala of CBS Sports while laughing. “I love that guy, and every time we’re not on the field together, we’re always rooting for each other.”
Kelce, whose Eagles were eliminated from the postseason in the wild-card round in a 32–9 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, donned a Chiefs beanie while attending the game at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo. But even though he was there to support his brother on the rival team, the six-time All-Pro center made sure to spend some time with Bills Mafia before the game.
But once the action got underway, Jason made it very known that he was there to support his brother and the Chiefs. This included jumping out of his suite and into the stands (while shirtless) to celebrate Travis’s touchdown, all the while surrounded by Bills fans.
