It’s been happily ever after for Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce and wife Kylie, who wed in 2018 and share three children. However, it didn’t necessarily start off that way.
The NFL star opened up about how he met his wife in the new Prime Video documentary Kelce, which premiered today. The film follows his journey to retirement — a path he ultimately did not take, starting for Philadelphia this past Sunday for his 13th season in the league — but his family also takes center stage, including brother (and star Chiefs tight end) Travis, wife Kylie and daughters Wyatt, 3, Elliotte, 2, and Bennett, 6 months.
During a scene in which Jason searches for his lost Super Bowl LII ring, Kylie admitted in a confessional that the two met on Tinder, adding, “He won’t let me lie about this.” “None of the pictures showed Eagles, football,” she explained. “But my friends and I, we were like, ‘This guy looks kinda familiar.’ And we find, on Google Images, him. And we’re like, ‘It can’t be him. It’s a catfish.'”
Kylie went onto reveal that she met Jason and his teammates out at a bar, half-expecting her date not to be him. “Right away, as soon as she walks through the door, most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen,” Jason shared. “Very much that love at first sight.” But that didn’t stop Jason from unfortunately “falling asleep” a mere 45 minutes into their first date — which he said was “not the best first impression.”
