Andy Reid stays calm amid Chiefs' offensive struggles: 'This league is crazy right now'

Patrick Mahomes is nothing without Andy Reid, says former 'Last Chance U' coach

Brown, 46, recently made an appearance on a podcast and went viral over his take on Mahomes, who would not be good without head coach Andy Reid, according to the controversial “Last Chance U” star. “Mahomes, I’ve seen him before. I’ve seen John Elway, bro. Mahomes couldn’t hold John Elway’s f—ing left nut in the cold winter,” Brown said. “I’m not hating on Mahomes, I’m telling you the truth about Mahomes. Without Andy Reid, Mahomes is nothing. Put him in Chicago, how good is Mahomes? I don’t think he’d be good at all. “You know that 50 percent of his throws are at or behind the line of scrimmage? He is the lowest rated Super Bowl winning quarterback of all time. He is in a gimmicky system that is devised to help him succeed.” Who is Jason Brown from ‘Last Chance U?’
Brown was a polarizing figure on the Netflix show due to his aggressive attitude with players, which includes a lot of yelling and cursing. The results on the field were enough to overlook his poor people skills, but has since retired from coaching to focus on his own whiskey and cigar brand. Brown also released a book titled “Hate Me Now, Love Me Later.” It’s safe to say Chiefs fans are in the “now” stage after his insulting comments, which surfaced after Mahomes’ third loss in five games.
