Prince Harry 'feels let down' as bitter feud with King and William has 'undoubtedly 'intensified'

Prince Harry is said to being feeling “let down” by the ongoing royal feud, with an expert alleging there is now an “intensified bitterness”. In 2020, the Duke of Sussex quit his senior royal role with his wife Meghan Markle and the pair relocated to the US to start a new life. Since their dramatic move to Montecito, California, the Sussexes appear to have distanced themselves further from the monarchy and have frequently engaged in projects centred around their experiences of royal life.

Back in 2021, they sat down for their infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey, they then went on to release their explosive Harry and Meghan Netflix docuseries in 2022 before the duke’s tell all memoir, Spare, was later published in January 2023. The 39-year-old prince flew back to the UK from the US earlier this month to attend a service at St Paul’s Cathedral in London, the Express reports.

Ahead of his arrival, there had been speculation that Harry may meet up with his father, who he hadn’t seen since news of the monarch’s cancer diagnosis broke in February. However, according to a statement from Harry’s office, the King was otherwise occupied, meaning no father and son reunion happened during the duke’s brief visit back to his home country.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams claims that Prince Harry “feels let down” amidst the ongoing “bitterness” among the Royal Family members. In an interview with The Mirror, Fitzwilliams said: “It has come down to a father, suffering from cancer, unable or unwilling to see his son, who is on a three-day visit despite being in close proximity in the same city.

“His son claims he wanted to see him. Both sides have briefed against each other as to why, security may be involved too.” Fitzwilliams also gave his views on the strained relationship between Harry and his elder brother William.
