Kelce caught a go-ahead touchdown against the Bills with 3:33 left in the first half. After he jettisoned the ball into the stands, Kelce looked up at the box and made a heart gesture at Taylor Swift, his celebrity girlfriend. Additionally, he also blew a kiss at the crowd, mirroring a gesture Swift made at Bills’ fans when she arrived at Highmark Stadium after being greeted by Bills fans saying, “Bills by a billion.”
The heart-shaped hand gesture dates back to Swift’s “Fearless” era. When she performed the song, Swift would make the heart gesture with her hands. She has described it as “something between ‘I love you’ and ‘thank you,'” per The New York Times. The Kelce box is loaded today in Buffalo. Joining Swift is Kelce’s family, including his brother Jason Kelce and his wife, as well as actress Cara Delevingne.
Jason Kelce was continuing his wild day taking in the game after his Eagles were eliminated in the wild-card round against the Buccaneers. He enjoyed the tailgating experience with Bills Mafia before the game. When Travis scored the touchdown, Jason also took part in the celebration, dancing shirtless. He then leapt out of the suite to continue the celebration with Bills’ fans, who were decidedly less excited this time.
The touchdown didn’t just give the Chiefs the lead; it was also a historic mark. That score tied the Kelce-Patrick Mahomes connection with Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski for the most touchdowns between quarterback and receiver in postseason history with 15.
