Training camp officially began on Sunday with the first practices getting underway, just a couple of days after all of the veterans reported.

That means that Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are already back in the swing of things, with the latter already making things testy. A fight broke out during practice on Wednesday, with defensive end George Karlaftis making a late hit on receiver Kadarius Toney. Kelce jumped in to defend his offensive colleague and gave Karlaftis an earful.

Toney was extremely upset following the hit, launching the ball directly at Karlaftis. The defender walked away and was then confronted by Kelce, who was watching the play from far away and ran in when it happened.

Kelce bumped Karlaftis and appeared to be animated, pushing him a bit after saying some words. Karlaftis then sprinted off with some other defenders, but he certainly made things fiery with the hit.

As one of the captains of the team, it was imperative for Kelce to step in and say something. Football is football, but a hit like that could have hurt Toney, who has struggled mightily with injuries throughout his career.
