Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes know how to spoil their teammates! In the latest episode of New Heights, Travis’ podcast with his brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end revealed that he and quarterback Mahomes went all out with Christmas gifts for their teammates this year.
According to Travis, 34, Mahomes, 28, got the entire Chiefs offensive line some new wheels: electric golf carts customized with each player’s name and number, which the tight end said was “pretty sweet.” Travis also joked that when Mahomes gifted the golf carts last week, he “was trying to get out of the parking lot” as fast as possible. “Everybody’s just flying around, those things are street-legal,” he recalled, adding that some players were driving at up to 35 miles per hour.
A video shared on the Chiefs’ Instagram appears to confirm this, showing members of the team’s offensive line zooming around in the red vehicles. “QB1 took care of the guys who keep him clean 🎁,” the team captioned the clip. Travis also shared that, instead of exchanging presents this year, he gifted each of his teammates a velour jumpsuit, which he said was a collaboration with luxury sportswear designer Daniel Patrick.
The tight end added that the matching hoodie and sweatpants are “nice,” “cozy” and “comfy.” Beyond that, they are perfect for the winter season. After Travis revealed his 2023 gift to his teammates, Jason said, “I don’t know why, I don’t like velour,” prompting his brother to giggle and say, “I got you one too.” “Actually, if it’s from you, I’ll like it,” Jason added, and both brothers had to duck off-camera to laugh.
Added Travis: “Ah, you can’t make this s— up people.” Elsewhere in the episode, Jason shared how he and the Eagles celebrated Christmas this year, revealing that the offensive line did a white elephant gift exchange, in which the “hottest” item, both literally and figuratively, was a flamethrower. “What, is somebody going to war?” Travis joked. “What the f— are we doing?” Eagles guard Cameron Jurgens ultimately ended up with the gift, and Jason said, “He’s definitely coming over at our house to use the flamethrower.”
