Sources close to the George W. Bush Presidential Center confirmed late Thursday that the 43rd president remains in good health and continues his post-presidency routines in the Dallas area.
At 80 (he celebrated the milestone on July 6), Bush was reported to be at or near his longtime home and the presidential center on the Southern Methodist University campus.
No medical emergency, hospital admission, or other dramatic development has occurred. The former president, known for his private life focused on family, veterans’ causes, and oil painting, was simply going about a normal evening.
Officials and family representatives have not issued any special statement because none is needed. Bush has kept a relatively low public profile in recent years while remaining active through the Bush Institute and occasional appearances.
There is no further update at this time. Life continues as usual in Dallas.
